LIFELONG LEARNING PROGRAMME / LEONARDO DA VINCI FRAMEWORK.

The Leonardo da Vinci Programme focuses on the teaching and training needs of those involved in vocational education and training. It aims to establish and bolster the competitiveness of the European labour market by helping European citizens to acquire new skills, knowledge and qualifications and have them recognised across borders. It also supports innovations and improvements in vocational education and training systems and practices. One main objective is to increase the quality and attractiveness of vocational education and training in Europe.

Step is in charge of the coordination of the LifeLong Learning Programme. We are conscious that taking part in a LLLP is a great investment for the future of our participants, that is why we put all our effort in providing a high quality service throughout, from the organising of the transfer service, internship and experts exchange programme, accommodation, language course and through socio - cultural activities, but our main priority is to give young people the opportunity of having the experience in a work environment, broadening the mind and increasing the awareness of cultural diversity.

Three categories of persons are benefiting from Leonardo da Vinci mobility:

1. Trainees in initial vocation training, (IVT) - except at tertiary level - either within a training school or at the work place
2. People in the labour market (PLM) - having finished their vocational training and not being attached to a training organisation anymore
3. Vocational Education and Training professionals (VETPRO), such as: Human resource managers in undertakings, vocational training programme planners and managers, trainers and occupational guidance counsellors, teachers/trainers/other educational staff, persons responsible for training establishments and for training planning, who are connected to organisations involved in professional education and training such as:
   - Vocational Training Schools and training organisations
   - Enterprises
   - Craft chambers of Commerce
   - Bodies responsible for systems and policies concerning any aspect of vocational education and training at local, regional and national level
